President and CEO, Gap Inc.
Art Peck is Gap Inc.'s President and Chief Executive Officer. He joined Gap Inc. in 2005 and has held senior leadership positions across nearly every area of the company.
On October 8, 2014, Art was named Gap Inc. CEO, effective February 1, 2015.
From 2012 to January 2015, Art served as President of the company’s Growth, Innovation and Digital (GID) division, with responsibility for the digital strategy of our more than $2 billion e-commerce business across the 80 countries where the company serves customers online. He drove the innovation agenda for the company across its digital platforms and more than 3,000 stores around the world. Ultimately, Art and his team developed and deployed the industry-leading, omni-channel platform for consumers to bridge the physical and digital shopping experience.
In this broad operating role, Art guided the growth of the emerging brands Athleta, Piperlime and Intermix, which is particularly fitting given he led the internal efforts to acquire Athleta, in 2008, and Intermix, in 2012. Art also added responsibility for the Gap Inc. technology division, working closely with the company’s chief information officer to optimize innovative and business solutions.
In his prior role, Art served as president of Gap North America, with its fleet of more than 700 stores, from February 2011 to November 2012. A product resurgence during this period drew customers back to the company’s namesake brand and helped improve the division’s sales performance for six consecutive quarters during his tenure and thereafter.
Previously, from 2008 to 2011, Art led the Outlet division, delivering strong sales and earnings growth for the value expressions of Gap and Banana Republic. Among the strategic shifts during this time, the division expanded globally, including first-ever Outlet store openings in Canada and Europe.
Art joined the company as executive vice president of Strategy & Operations, and he made an immediate impact by launching the company’s first franchise business, which now has grown to about 400 Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy franchise stores in 40 countries.
A champion of the company values to “do more than sell clothes,” Art has been a trustee on the board of Gap Foundation since 2008, and a long-time advocate for corporate social responsibility and the company’s philanthropic work. He played an integral role in Gap’s partnership with Product (RED) in 2006, in which a portion of product sales went to HIV/AIDS prevention efforts in Africa, and was a key supporter of the company’s decision in February 2014 to raise its minimum wage for U.S. employees.
Prior to joining Gap Inc., Art spent 20 years with The Boston Consulting Group, an international strategy and management consulting firm, where he ultimately served as a senior partner.
In 2013, Fast Company named Art one of its 100 Most Creative People in Business, which features global leaders in technology, design, media, music, movies, marketing, television, sports, and more.
He is a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles, and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
EVP and Chief Financial Officer, Gap Inc.
Teri List-Stoll joined Gap Inc. in January 2017 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Teri oversees the company’s global finance function, the global real estate team and Gap Inc.’s technology division.
Teri brings more than three decades experience to Gap Inc., including top leadership positions at global consumer goods companies. Most recently, she was executive vice president and chief financial officer for Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc. Prior to that, Teri served as chief financial officer for Kraft Foods Group, Inc. and in a number of roles at The Procter & Gamble Company, including senior vice president and treasurer. She began her career at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Teri serves on the board of directors and audit committees for Microsoft and Danaher. She received her B.A. in Business Administration from Northern Michigan University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
President and CEO, Old Navy
Sonia Syngal is President and CEO of Old Navy leading the $7 billion business across all geographies and channels with a team of 56,000 employees.
A design-driven, innovative leader, Sonia has delivered growth and unlocked revenue potential across multiple functions and industries.
In her 12 years with Gap Inc. Sonia has held leadership roles across Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta and Intermix, most recently leading the company’s global supply chain and product-to-market model, and before that as Managing Director of Europe.
Prior to Gap Inc., Sonia had a successful career in Fortune 500 product companies, including 10 years at Sun Microsystems and six years at Ford Motor Co.
Sonia holds a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University. She serves on the Gap Foundation Board of Trustees and the national Board of Governors for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
President and CEO, Banana Republic
Mark Breitbard is President and CEO of Banana Republic leading the brand worldwide across multiple channels and geographies.
Mark is a leader with clear vision and the proven ability to drive transformation and innovation. He has more than 25 years of retail leadership experience, serving in numerous product, creative and management roles at major global brands.
Most recently, Mark served as chief executive officer at The Gymboree Corporation from 2013 until early 2017. From 2010 to 2013, Mark held leadership positions across Gap North America, where he was instrumental in delivering the product-led resurgence of Gap’s North America business. He also served as chief merchandising and creative officer of Old Navy from 2009 to early 2010. Previously, Mark served in leadership roles at Levi Strauss & Co. and Abercrombie & Fitch.
Mark graduated from Vassar College and earned a Master of Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
President and General Manager, Intermix
Jyothi brings extensive experience in the retail sector to her role as President of INTERMIX. She is responsible for crafting the vision for the brand and for developing the overall business strategy.
Prior to joining INTERMIX in 2014, Jyothi served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Gilt.com where she was instrumental in growing the business into a leading digital fashion site. Before Gilt, Jyothi served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Calvin Klein, where she launched the Specialty Retail division.
Previously, Jyothi spent 16 years at Gap Inc., where she held several leadership positions and was responsible for successfully growing domestic and international businesses for both the Gap and Banana Republic brands. Jyothi has resided in Africa, India, and Europe.
EVP, Global General Counsel, Corporate Secretary & Chief Compliance Officer, Gap Inc.
Julie Gruber is Executive Vice President, Global General Counsel, Corporate Secretary & Chief Compliance Officer of Gap Inc. In this role, Julie oversees a global network of both internal and external legal and compliance professionals who support the Company’s long-term balanced growth strategy while protecting the Company’s reputation and helping to mitigate legal risks. She is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to Art Peck, CEO of Gap Inc. and supports the company’s Board of Directors. Julie has also taken on the responsibility of overseeing the Gap Inc. Government Affairs, Corporate Security and Corporate Administration teams.
Since joining Gap Inc. in 1998, Julie’s experience and leadership scope grew to include Intellectual Property across all brands, and functional areas including Privacy, Records and Archives, Global Integrity, Regulatory, Real Estate, Commercial and Franchise Law.
Prior to joining Gap Inc., she was an associate at Bronson, Bronson and McKinnon in San Francisco and clerked for the Honorable Ronald M. Whyte in the Federal District Court in San Jose.
Julie is a graduate of the University of California’s Hastings College of Law and received her B.A. in Political Science from Yale University. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1992. Julie serves on the Board of LifeMoves - Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness and on the Executive Committee for the American Heart Association’s Bay Area Go Red for Women Campaign.
EVP and Chief People Officer
Brent Hyder is Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer for Gap Inc. In this role, Brent oversees human resources; social and environmental sustainability, government affairs, corporate communications and Gap Foundation.
Most recently, Brent served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Gap brand, where he was responsible for aligning the brand’s global business and talent strategies and for managing all stores globally across Gap Specialty and Outlet. In this position he was also responsible for leading the HR and Communications functions at Gap and Intermix and served as Head of Recruiting for Gap Inc.
During his thirteen years with Gap Inc., Brent has served in numerous senior leadership roles throughout the company. From 2011 to 2014 he held multiple roles supporting Gap Japan K.K including Vice President & General Manager of Gap Specialty, where he led operations for Gap’s 105+ specialty stores in the market, and had accountability for the communications, human resources, finance, inventory management, marketing, merchandising and visual teams.
Brent began his career in the field as Director of HR for Old Navy stores, and then moved into upper field roles as Regional Director and then Senior Director of Stores.
Before coming to Gap Inc., Brent held HR and Store Leader positions with a variety of retailers, including Best Buy and Mervyn’s Department Stores, where he progressed to a senior store leadership role.
For the past two years, Brent has served on the Board of Directors of The Door, a youth-based nonprofit organization in New York City. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management from Brigham Young University.
EVP, Strategy & Chief Customer Officer, Gap Inc.
Sebastian DiGrande is EVP of Strategy and Chief Customer Officer for Gap Inc.
Sebastian and his team are focused on deepening the company’s relationship with our customers across the portfolio. In this role, he leads the company’s strategy, consumer and market insights, customer data and analytics, digital and customer marketing, payments, loyalty, and franchise teams. They are leveraging the data, assets, insight and capital available across Gap Inc.’s businesses with the goal of redefining what it means to have a personalized and valued relationship with our customers.
Spending most of his career at the intersection of technology, strategy, digital innovation and the customer, Sebastian joined Gap Inc. in May 2016 from The Boston Consulting Group. He was a Senior Partner and Managing Director with 20 years of experience, working in San Francisco, London and Sydney. Sebastian was also a leader in BCG’s Technology, Marketing and Digital Innovation efforts. He has advised clients in the technology, retail, online media, Internet, and consumer electronics industries.
Previously, Sebastian worked for GTE in several of their business units in the U.S., including telephone, cellular and satellite operations.
He received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Sebastian currently serves on the Board of Directors for Big Lots, Inc.
Sally Gilligan is the Chief Information Officer for Gap Inc. overseeing the company’s technology organization that serves as the engine that drives retail, e-commerce and global enterprise technology for millions of customers.
Sally has been with Gap Inc. for over 14 years, serving in a variety of roles in the organization with a focus on process and economic optimization. Prior to serving as CIO, she served as SVP of Product Operations and Supply Chain Strategy where she led a global team responsible for building and deploying capabilities to enable the end to end demand based operating model. This included sourcing & fulfillment strategy, product management for all operations design through inventory management and fulfillment, and advanced analytics for product costing, inventory, and network optimization.
Prior to joining Gap Inc., Sally has ten years of management consulting and financial services experience. Sally holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and a Masters in Business Administration from University of Chicago.
EVP, Global Supply Chain and Product Operations, Gap Inc.
Shawn Curran is Executive Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Product Operations at Gap Inc.
Shawn manages the Global Supply Chain’s end-to-end process, and leads the product-to-market model for each of its brands. Specifically, Shawn is responsible for leading the company’s global logistics omni-channel operations, sourcing and production, inventory optimization, product operations, and strategy. These functions serve both on-line customers and more than 3,300 company-owned stores, along with 400 franchise stores.
With more than 29 years at Gap Inc., Shawn has an established track record of driving transformative change resulting in year-over-year cost savings and improved customer experience. Over the years, Shawn has progressed through positions of increasing responsibility to include Industrial Engineering, Distribution Center Operations, Brand Management, North American Transportation, and Global Logistics.
Shawn served as past president of the Tri-State Chapter of the Materials Handling Management Society and was also a founding member and vice chair of the Northern Kentucky Business Leadership Network. He holds an MBA from Xavier University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
EVP, Global Sourcing, Gap Inc.
Christophe Roussel is Executive Vice President of Global Sourcing for Gap Inc. Christophe is responsible for shaping the direction of sourcing, product development, production and global quality, while providing transformative strategies and sustainable solutions that support the business to satisfy the needs of our customers.
Christophe and his team work towards strengthening the company’s partnerships with our factories, vendors and mills across the world, focusing on product innovation, responsiveness and digitization of the Supply Chain.
Christophe has 25 years of experience in Sourcing and Supply Chain with top tier European retailers. Prior to joining Gap Inc., he led and transformed the Sourcing function at Tesco. He also held various senior leadership roles at Wm. Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Carrefour.
Christophe received his Master of Advance Studies in Foreign Affairs and his Master in International Relationships and Economics from Sorbonne University in Paris and also holds a Chinese Language and Civilisation degree from University of Paris Jussieu.
Neil Fiske joined Gap brand as President and CEO in June of 2018. In this role, Neil leads Gap brand’s business across multiple geographies and channels.
Neil is an experienced leader with 20 years of brand building experience in specialty retail. Through two decades of retail experience, Neil is an expert in the mechanics of taking a piece of clothing from design all the way to a customer’s closets while delivering exceptional quality and customer service.
Most recently, Neil served as chief executive officer at Billabong International, where he restored the flagship Billabong brand to a position of market leadership and multi-year share growth. Prior to that, Neil spent five years as president and chief executive officer at Eddie Bauer, repositioning the company to focus on its heritage as America’s original outdoor outfitter. Neil also served as chief executive officer at Bath and Body Works, where he led a complete brand transformation, quickly reversing a multi-year trend of negative comp store sales.
Neil graduated from Harvard Business School with a Masters of Business Administration and received a B.A. in Political Economy from Williams College.
As the EVP of Global Real Estate sits on the senior leadership team, reporting directly to Teri List-Stoll. Bruce is responsible for real estate, store development, store design and store architecture as well as real estate finance. Bruce and his team work to ensure our portfolio of stores are the right size, the right expressions of our portfolio, and are in the right locations – locations where our customers shop today.
Prior to joining Gap Inc., Bruce spent almost 20 years with Simon Property Group. Most recently, he served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Leasing for Simon Property Group, responsible for major tenants, national restaurant leasing and business restructuring across all of Simon’s business platforms. Prior to that, Bruce spent 20 years with a private real estate investment trust owning retail properties.
Steven Sare is Division EVP Asia Retail and GM of Greater China, leading Gap Inc. businesses in China and Japan.
Steven and his team are responsible for the Gap Inc. network of brand stores and e-commerce operations in Japan, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Steven has more than 30 years of experience in the retail industry, including leadership roles throughout the Gap Inc. enterprise. Since 2016, Steven was General Manager and Representative Director of Gap Japan, where he was responsible for all of the company’s retail and business functions in that market. Under his leadership, the Japan team significantly grew its online business and received recognition as a “Great Place to Work.”
Previously, Steven was based in New York City leading Gap’s global merchandising team, which developed all seasonal global product assortments for Gap’s customers worldwide. Steven has also served as chief merchandising officer for Uniqlo, and held positions at Lord & Taylor and Neiman Marcus. Throughout his career within Gap Inc. and at other retail companies, Steven has driven performance and efficiency in virtually every sector of product and merchandise operations.
Originally from Indiana, Steven has a degree in biology from DePauw University and studied biochemistry Queen Mary College in London.
